IVF Success Story 4

Infertility is a stressful time for the couple. Kind words, right counselling and appropriate well supervised treatment plays a very important role in achieving not only mental happiness but also positive outcomes.

AA and VH aged 29 years and 32 years had come to seek fertility treatment. The couple was actively trying to achieve conception since 4 years. She was obese with a BMI of 40. She was rejected treatment at other clinics because of her obesity and was told that she will never be able to conceive. This discouraged her. She had an active lifestyle and was working sincerely on her lifestyle modification. When she saw me, scan showed PCOS and I encouraged her to continue the same lifestyle management. She had already been refused and rejected by many clinics just blaming her weight and this made her more stressful and defiant towards all positive things. Though weight reduction and lifestyle modification to reduce weight was my first priority and guidance to her but, at the same time sending her back and refusing treatment was not that I wanted. After 1 month of preparation, she underwent IVF. A very meticulous IVF treatment was done taking good care that she didn’t have ovarian hyperstimulation (OHSS), a dreaded complication seen in PCOS women. She got pregnant in her first attempt and had an uneventful pregnancy journey, now has been blessed with a baby boy making her busy in life.
